I get updates with minor improvements from Luminar every couple of weeks, and they keep introducing new features - at extra cost. As much as I'd like the "Gen" capabilities, I'm not going to subscribe. I'm using Luminar all the time now, and I find it very effective and easy to use.

LR/PS for $10 a month is still best bang for the buck! :) :) It fixes and new function keeps coming at no additional cost. The new gen replacement tool is unbelievable! You can't take your money with you!

Suppose you send me $5.00 and month? That's just half a cup of coffee. After a year, I'll have $60 that I can spend on something nice. 🤣

I don't plan to take my money with me, but I do like spending it and getting something in return.

I cannot take the money with me either but my wife has promised to give me a check that will be placed in my casket in case I change my mind.

If it's any consolation Jerry, I don't buy into the subscription services either and people who do have a hard time with why some of us won't.

I also have Luminar - AI and NEO. They are there when I want/need them and I don't have to be $120.00 lighter per year for something that I rarely use.

Soon, I can see the day when I will unsubscribe to Luminar's weekly attempts to get me to part with my cash as I won't be buying into their subscription model either.

Like most of this marketing hype, I don't need or wamt it. I know where they are if I change my mind and inbox clogging nonsense is just annoying...

I also use Luminar NEO almost exclusively as well. It’s very easy to use, and has tons of features.

Every now and then I will go back to PSE 2020 for a particular feature I don’t see in Luminar. For example, I took two group shots of about 10 family members. I liked the second shot better, except one person had her eyes closed when I took the shot. However, her eyes were open in the first shot. I vaguely remembered that there was an eye replacement feature in PSE 2020. Tried it for the first time and it worked flawlessly!

Me also. I use Luminar NEO as my go-to photo editing app. It does all that I need without subscriptions, subscriptions which I will not do.

It isn't only subscriptions, I know of one product that has updates, but then seems to come out with a new version (not covered by updates) every 3 or 4 months. On the other hand PixInsight (astro-imaging) has improved for years and it's all covered by the first purchase.

I bought Luminar Neo last year, and that's the only version I've seen advertised. They did have another processing program a few years ago, but I don't recall the name.

Over the years I’ve had Luminar 2018, Luminar 3, Luminar 4, Luminar AI, and now Luminar Neo.

I dropped Capture One as soon as I got better raw conversion from Luminar Neo.
