A fascinating progression of steps and results.
I know you intended the last to be the finished work; however, for me the effect overpowers the rest. I do very much like the lightness and colors that resulted.

It's not supposed to be a progression. Each image starts over back at 'Flip and Crop'.

Too typically people in the Photo Gallery would display SOOC as in your photo 1. If no other change than photo 2, then that is an achievement making a well designed image.
[ignoring the clipping of the bud on far right] The next, #2, brings out color, I like that. Flipped, the image reads left to right, it it focuses on the subject matter. Image #3 a tad of abstraction and a bringing out of color and sharpening... a positive.
Beyond that, photo #4 is fine with abstraction but a bit of sharpening would do sounders for it.
Image #5 is over the edge for me. Just exercising one of the extraneous fiddle knobs in our modern-in-excess software. It looks as tho you did not like the image and scribbled over it a sign of rejection.

Good work! Your efforts paid off because the results were certainly worth it. The butterfly and the flowere started to get a little squashed together but after your processed last image they became clearer and very distinct from each other. Great work...lovely new image!

I hope, like me, you find the more effort you put in, the more rewarding the end result?
Can’t say I’m keen on the abstract but the others I do like, particularly the slightly ‘grungy’ effect of the penultimate one, which I find surprising given the subject, but it works well!
