Hi John.:) You will want to be there early for the Christmas lights. Just after dusk is the best. You don't want it real dark out to start. And then keep shooting and you will see why. Pretty hard to get them looking good. The lights seem to get really bright when it is dark. And take your tripod too.:):)

Correct it is in Chorley, I'd never been before although its only a few miles away. Its worth a visit, you can drive right inside most of the day. I was talking to a gardener who was decorating a tree with Xmas lights who told me the big switch on was next Friday.
So I intend to go along one evening as there could some good shots to be taken, although I have not much experience with night shots.
