As I mentioned in my last post, fall might not seem so quiet here, color-wise, if I hadn't missed most of it by being in Florida, but that can't be undone. And there are still plenty of lovely places to be discovered if one will just look. These are from some of the hikes I've taken since I got home. Some of you may be surprised to see that we have both fog and aspen trees down this way; it isn't all desert and rattlesnakes. I hope you enjoy these scenes and find them as soul-soothing as I did.

Beautiful fall set! I really like what you did with the leaves on the water and the last three.

Very nice!!! Your area looks nothing like where I grew up in El Paso, which was sand and sagebrush. (I'm very happy to say I never saw a rattle snake where I lived)

I really like #3, #5, #6 and #9!!

Beautiful colors helped by good lighting.

Thanks, Dodie. Sand and sagebrush aren't too far away though, and El Paso's only two and a half hours from here, but what a difference!

Yes, I was fortunate to have slightly overcast days for the three hikes depicted here. Thanks for looking.

These show why New Mexico is called The Land of Enchantment". Ruidoso area maybe or Cloudcroft?
