Snow started last night. We are not getting to much right now. They say we might get 3". I went out and tried a few shots. The snow is too wet to get very good shots.

Glad it's you Erv, and not me. This is just the beginning for you

I love the snow. I love snow scenes and I never see enough snow to suit me. I have always dreamed of a midnight sleigh ride in the snow in Vermont at Christmas time. Why? I have NOOOOOO idea!

I know Greg. But I am going to be up here making snow men, building igloos and having snowball fights. And you are down in the warm Sun taking bird pictures. Jealous aren't you? Want to trade for a month or so? :):)

:):) you are just a romantic Jo. But that sounds good to me. I use to pull the Maple sirup sled around. But it wasn't very romantic.:):)

I'm originally from Michigan, and we miss the lakes the most, but making maple sugar would be a close second.

Missouri isn't very far south! It is still cold there. I lived in KCMO for a few years. You might as well come back where it is fun! :):):)

We'd like to, but we've grown to depend on some of the creature comforts...food, roof over our heads, you know the stuff that isn't important - LOL. There just aren't enough jobs in Michigan.

If we get more than 3 inches of snow in U.K. we come to a standstill. Roads blocked, railways shut down, and flights stop. All for just 3 inches.

Yes it is really sad how the economy is. But it is getting a little better. But the light at the end of the tunnel is still pretty small.

You need a silver cross and a priest, stat!

Seems to be working for us, at least so far. But the priest eats an awful lot, don't know how much longer I can afford to feed him. Doesn't bode well.

It takes about 12" to slow us down here. The guys on the road crews are really good about keeping things moving. When I hear him coming down the road, I always get a cup of coffee ready for him. He goes down and comes back the other side. He is always happy to see me. :) They put in some long days and nights.

The kids first day of school, after we moved down here, was cancelled due to 1" of snow. Michigan is about the same as Ohio in that 12" of snow - we'll think about closing school.
