We should enjoy our nightmares the way this cat seems to be.
One man's bad trip is a path to enlightenment for another.
To a soul that's clear, laughter is heavenly music.
To one that's not, its a horrifying, mocking sound.

Poetic reply... appreciated.
The main web and spiders was done for a political comment and the faces of the men in trouble were with the flies caught in a web of lies... his uses my same base but embeds the cat in the terror of being caught in the web helpless in deep sleep unable to wake.
The Base involved a lot of clone brushing. The artistic effect was with Dynamic Autopainter with the artist Pino [Italian artist, Pino Daeni].
Nice cat nightmare. I could not even begin to do this. My Ps skills lay in other areas. I would not want to see most of my nightmares visualized! It is best to forget them. I have also noticed that my dogs dream and may have scary nightmares too.
Starting with a blank perhaps toned canvas open, for example, one of the furry wolf spider In UHH or the Net and click windows to have both open side by side click one for source and then the other for target [acts as tho one photo]... at times you may need to under image go to resize so that the fur will transfer the size you want.
I just googled in fly and there are many images here is a start... the Tarantula

The dear cat was "Te'gar"... better entertainment with his antics than any TV. He was used in the composite. He appears at least 4 times hidden within the dream portion.
That is one wonderful image.

Wonderful image of a wonderful cat... he was a great guy... He and Boots a female cat that adopted him when she was a kitten... they would play chase and play fight... very entertaining.

Terrifying? yes! Great? You bettcha!
Well that’s done me no good at all Don! I have trouble with spiders, regularly, and always about 2a.m.! Last week I got a change - it was wasps! Now it’s going to be nasty little bug things with red heads! Or perhaps yoor later offering of particularly hairy things. Your compositing skills are undoubted but could you try, perhaps, a cat slumbering gently in a hammock?

I think you nailed this one. Interesting that the cat seems to be so at ease despite the frightening images.
