A Lucky Morning with American Robins and Cedar Waxwings

I never take luck out of the equation when it comes to a rare opportunity for me to take photos. The attached all happened in an hour, one morning. For the previous two mornings and the next two mornings and being set up in the same exact location, the robins and waxwings did not reappear.

I am too. I don't hunt in any areas where those animals have the disease but it is a disease that in my opinion just keeps spreading. If I shoot a deer this year I will most likely have it tested before consumption.

In the fall in SW Montana when the berries have ripened, the waxwings and robins, migrating south, arrive and feast. The waxwings were there only one day, then gone. They are very efficient. The robins hang out a little longer, probably hung-over from over indulging.
