The one I hate is when I get a flashing warning with a horn telling me that my computer has been frozen because a virus has been detected and to call the number at the bottom. It's all a scam. It's happened a couple of times. The first time it really freaked me out and I called BitDefender. In the end, all I had to do was turn the computer off, turn it back on and the computer was back to normal.

Yeah, that happened to me a couple of times. It happened to my son a couple of days ago. I forget how we got around it, but how many people have paid?
The only time I have gotten a message that started with "Something went wrong", it was from Windows Update. Fortunately, it was able to backtrack and fix its error.

Well, Jerry, if anybody get's it in the future, it's just a popup. Just turn your computer off and restart it. I ran my virus scanner (BitDefender) to be safe each time, but it didn't detect a thing.

I hate messages like this. I was typing an email, and this popped up.
"Something Went Wrong - Changes were not saved."
What changes? How could the computer not know? I didn't do anything that had to be saved. Stupid computer!
Depending on what method you use for your email it is possible that an "Autosave" feature failed to save "update" your message. I know that the method I use autosaves as I type so if there is ever a "Hiccup" on their server or on my laptop not all is lost.

A couple of weeks ago, I started to get pop-up ads for talking to "willing" women. I did the steps to determine source et al. It took me two days to track it down to a downloaded packet. I think it was an attachment to something I looked at on line. I did get rather frustrated when I couldn't get the source that I started to look at what I had gotten the last few days. It was in my USERS group under USERS, USERS. I checked each activity by most recent date when I got the last pop-up. I moved the folder into Recycle Bin. That cleared it out and a couple of days I jettisoned it out. So far, so good.
