Something has been said about appreciating the smaller things in life. Compared to some other places with similar scenery, that mile section is quite small, but can certainly be appreciated none the less.

Very nice shot and scenic section of road.

It contributes to me missing my hometown in western Kentucky and the fall colors.

Near me in Southern California we do have streets with trees that do fall colors and I could take a day trip to drive up to the mountains where fall colors can be found. But it isn't the same as winding through the country roads for mile after mile seeing fall colors in the woods and fields of the farms.

I used to cycle this on the way to work. 1¾ miles from crown to crossroads and I got to nudge 38 mph. The hedgerow was cut low and I could go across a stepped junction wirhout stopping / slowing most days. Speed slowly dwindled until I reached the next village. A great way to start the day until I arrived at my destination, nothing was going to top that on an Autumn day.

Can't say the same for the ride home. 1¾ miles and 400', 17 miles in to a 20 mile commute.
