Beautiful photos of beautiful cars, The TR 5 was not available in the US, as it was presented to the US as the TR250, which I had one, loved it... Thanks for sharing...
Always interesting to see cars from different parts of the world & see them driving on the wrong side of the road ! LOL !
Thanks for you comment go2hale. Please note that it is against the law to drive on the wrong side of the road in Australia so most people drive on the correct side of the road, unless they are drunk.
British cars were a common sight on Australian roads for 50 years from the 1920s to the early 1970s. During the 1950s British cars outsold all other makes in Australia.
Before going to the photos I need to clear up a couple of items raised by fellow UHH members -
Some UHH members have suggested that the steering wheels in the cars in my photos are on the wrong side. The reason that the steering wheels are on the right hand side of cars in Australia is so that drivers don't have to display “Left Hand Drive” signs on their cars if the steering wheel is not on the right hand side.
Some UHH members have also said that we drive on the wrong side of the road in Australia. I can assure you that it is against the law in Australia to drive on the wrong side of the road. If caught, offenders face a hefty fine, loss of license and possibly jail, so most drivers, unless drunk, drive on the correct side of the road.

Thorny Devil, Just discovered a way that you Aussies have broken off from the Brits. You've posted a picture of an Austin Healey Sprite and referred to it as a "bug-eye". I posted a series on a British Car show in Ohio earlier this year and also posted a picture of an Austin Healey Bug-Eye Sprite. Sylvias, one of our better known posters from the UK, commented on it that she used to own an Austin Healey Frog-Eye Sprite. So you folks finally came to your senses and sided with us Yanks on the matter. Probably be driving on the right side of the road in the near future too.
Really liked the Austin ute. Don't think I've ever seen one or even a picture before.
Thank you for your comments jiminnee. The Austin 1800 was one of those cars that was either loved or hated - especially the utility version which was a little under-powered compared to the competition. Some owners beefed up the rear suspension which tended to sag with heavy loads resulting in the front pointing skywards and also affecting the steering.
