This is a thoughtfully-designed premium backpack that I am reluctant to sell. However, I know that I would never voluntarily be in a situation where I would need to carry this fully-loaded for any distance, so I am hoping that someone younger and more adventurous will be able to put it to good use.
The Bataflae (“butterfly”) design is well-known for the ability to open each half independently (see photo). This allows the user to access a single lens or camera combo without the risk of other items falling out, or dirt or rain getting in the covered portion. Of course, the bag opens normally if desired. The bag itself is extremely well constructed, and it has never been used “in the field,” so it is in extremely good condition. There are no tears or scratches in the fabric, and the zippers work as intended. Internal dividers are included. For carrying, a waist belt is supplied, and both the shoulder straps and the waist belt can be tucked away for use as a carry bag. The only downside of this design is that the dual opening prevents the addition of a computer sleeve. A rain cover is included. The exterior dimensions are approximately 21” x 14” x 9”.
You may have seen this type of Gura Gear bag (different model) in Steve Perry’s “What’s in My Bag – Costa Rica.” He loves this design.
I am selling this bag for $260, which includes shipping to the continental US. If you wish to pay by PayPal, add $8.00 for the PP fee.
