Governor George Gray's Mansion on Kawau Island, New Zealand.
That is my wife walking on the jetty (left side of the photo). I was still on the ferry when I took this shot. It was on 16-Oct-2023 and we were the only two visitors to this part of the island on that day.
You can live on this island, there are a lot of very plush homes. There are no road or shops. They run a daily supplies boat, and it's not very far to get to the mainland by ferry or on your own boat or yacht.
I could live there, now where to get all of those millions...

Yes, it's very nice and tranquil indeed.
RE: ..."where to get all of those millions..."
Good question.
My daughter says if she wins the lottery then she will buy a house there.
She and her husband have a friend who works on the island. Thomas is his name and he works for DOC ("Department Of Conservation" that is, the government department that looks after NZ's many national parks and reserves and so on). DOC provides a modest cottage for Thomas to live in as part of the job, so he lives there for free. He goes to the mainland on his days off, where he has a vehicle. So you can live there and get paid for it.
If you lived there you could even walk around nude outdoors much of the time if that is your thing; in the summer months that is... It's Northland, or 'the far north', which is often referred to as "the winterless north", but in reality it still gets quite cool up there over the winter months.
Beautiful shot of a lovely place, Paul!
Wow. What a cool looking place
It still sounds like a marvelous place to be, Paul. Rumor has it that most of New Zealand a=is very beautiful.
