'Twas a hot and humid day with temps in the upper 80's, but still a good turn out. In addition to the vehicles included in these two posts there was a good turnout of late model Corvettes from our local club.

I'd like to take that Nova for a ride.

Beautiful captures of some beautiful vehicles.
In my early driving years, starting at 14 w/o license, I drove 3 different trucks of the years show. 2of the 3 were bought from an army post… my dad and an uncle would buy lots of old army trucks and combine them into as many roadable trucks as they could. I painted 1 of them with a brush… in the sun on a hot day… at a distance it looked OK. Our family of 5 would occasionally take about 120 mile round trip to visit both grandparents… crowded cab. Weather permitting, I would ride in the back.
The 427 Nova was the body style and color of my past Nova (with a 350)… it had the problem, common to those Nova’s, of rust around the rear lights.
Great photos of some cool cars. I didn't know Chevy made a 427 in the Nova.

Actually, Chevy never did, but several enterprising dealers such as Nickey, either dropped the 427 engine in the car at their dealership or possibly managed to have Chevy do it through the COPO program.
