Looking at another post, and it got me thinking…
When I get a new camera body, accessory list is:
Spare battery
Plastic case for battery
Appropriate cards (2 or 4, depending on number of slots)
Strap
Shoulder pad for strap
L bracket
When I get a new lens:
Case
Clear filter
When I get a new tripod:
Manfrotto 130 adapter
When I get a new tripod head:
Mating 3/8 Manfrotto plate
Thoughts?
Makes me think how infrequently I get new stuff.

Why in 2023 is anybody still using a Manfrotto adapter? Aren’t your L-brackets Arca-Swiss?
I don't get spare battery and thus no need for battery case. I get 1 memory card. I usually have the strap already and don't use pad for strap. I don't use L bracket.
Since I have a battery grip, 4-6 batteries, 2-4 in double pouches for air travel;
I use my OLD SLR wide non-de-script denim camera strap with clips. I put D-rings on the camera;
No case for new lens, they are in the padded camera bag. But yes on the filter;
I don't use an L-bracket;
8 memory cards as they have to be 16GB or smaller. Yea, camera is old.
I don't plan on getting a new tripod, I have two QR plates for the one I have.
Just my MO.

I use the Manfrotto between the tripod and the head. Everything else is Arca-Swiss

How often do you purchase new stuff?
I used my last two film cameras twelve and eleven years respectively. I eventually decided I should think of a digital camera lasting five years, like a computer.
I last purchased new lenses when I purchased a new camera that could make good use of them.
I hardly ever use a tripod these days.

He means the round thing thaz the reverse of a 3/8 to 1/4 reducer bushing.
Instead of 25 cents its 25 dollars ... and is larger by that same magnitude. Going "backwards" is waaaay clunkier than just reducing a 3/8 hole.

Why would you buy a tripod you need an adapter for?
That’s right. We can debate the « need » for some of these items, but if you don’t have the proper gear for your photography, you will need to acquire it. This should be part of the purchase decision. Presumably, if you are upgrading or changing brands, you are doing so to improve your photographic experience. You are making that investment, and all the support gear you use is part of the cost.
In a word: overkill.
I don't buy a case for each new battery. They generally come with a case of some kind, and I also have case that hold multiple batteries.
I use OP/TECH straps, so they swap easily from camera to camera, with shoulder pad built in.
I try to limit my buying to what I consider the essentials. Of course, "essential" to me might be frivolous to someone else.

Perhaps I am missing your point. If so I offer my apologies. Are you wanting the camera companies to include all of this stuff which will make the price of the camera go through the roof?
Of course many people don't purchase any of these things. Depending on how often they take photographs and the number of photos they might take an additional battery may not be needed. I have no case for my batteries, usually 3 per camera body. Don't most cameras come with a shoulder strap?
Many people do not have/use a tripod, don't need a Manfrotto plate and so on for your list. I purchase things I need and that is about it.

I agree with some of your items like a spare battery and strap but not with all the tripod stuff and the L bracket. My camera is heavy enoug with out adding things. The only filters I use are ND or POl.. You asked and Told you.
