When Murder Isn't Enough

A local convicted murderer is being sued by NYS as the owner of three dumps. He has been dumping toxic waste in them for some time now. I wonder what kind of a penalty he will get, probably a large fine and/or time added to his murder sentence.

In NYS, if he did not recycle plastic bags it could result in a life sentence.

Did he recycle a bag over his latest victim, I wonder?
If so, NY would probably give him time off for good conservation and a green Earth award
Despite his otherwise dumps on humanity

Some stores don't have any kind of bags available. It's all DIY now, and people bring their own. Only when I have the supermarket do the shopping for me, do I get paper bags.

At Walmarts and grocery stores in California you have to pay 10 cents per plastic (reusable) bag or bring your own. But at Home Depot, Lowes, etc. single use bags are free. It was a bunch of Dumb A** Politicians who passed that law. (No single use bags allowed at stores selling groceries)

If we want a paper bag (where available), we pay ten cents.

We have some plastic bags, but not for checked-out orders. Paper is taking the place of what used to be plastic.

We have a store here in town called Costco. They don't have any bags, plastic or paper. However, they will give you a free box that you can carry your purchases home in. Then it's up to you to recycle the cardboard.

Since he's the owner of three "dumps," he has a business, which must mean as the owner he has money, or at least the dumps have value.
