Ok, fall is done and we are back to working Alaska photos!
Well, I did get distracted by a deer and hawk....
Hey, I think he gets it!

I'm not sure how much thinking a fish does, but you have to wonder what is going through his mind as he is caught by one bear and looking into the eyes of another.

And the light was pretty on this guy. He was fairly far away..

Good set Beth. Liked them all but the bears win!
Another excellent set, Beth!

Excellent set, and my favorite is the 'Patient' bear. It looks kinda forlorn.
Wow! This set is amazing, Beth. Every one a National Geographic cover. Thanks for sharing them.
All are excellent! Of all the photos I've seen of bears at the falls, the one with the caught-salmon seemingly looking at the drooling bear beside the other, is by far the most riveting. It inspires the need for a great caption. My submission would be something like, "On your very worst day, take heart that, at least it's better than this..."

I like the affect of the slow shutter speed on the seated bear in the river. And re what the fish is thinking, probably not the thought that "I am helping the bears get fat in preparation for hibernation". More likely, "oh s__t"!!!!!!
