Old IR Modernize With Topaz AI

Back in June of 2002, I used my Canon G2 self converted to take photos at the Gott Glass Studio in Tampa. These particular of photos represents one SOOC, as taken, with a 950 nm filter. The original photo was treated with Topaz deNoise-AI and Sharpen-AI. The results below. I added yellow tint to the flames and a tad of green to the glass.
i recall the struggle finding glass to replace the IR internal filter... i ended up with several layers bonded with Locktite glass bonding adhesive. I seem to recall that after a couple of years the glass layers eventually the glass formed bubbles and I buried the camera next to Fifi the cat.[he is joking

The next was a disaster with a failed Fuji, and then success with a Panasonic ZS3 with IR filter so thin glass replacement is not needed. Now I have the ZS3-IR and a converted Nikon 1 J1. The Nikon Mirrorless 1" sensor camera has a in sensor hi-bred focus system and so the hard glass part of the sensor is bare and easily cleaned if needed. Of the two cameras i would suggest converting the ZS3 or one in that ZS series. AI takes care of any deficiencies in image noise, sharpness, or number of pixels. Directions for conversion or either camera are on the internet with great detail.

Treating of AI Cleaned & Sharpened image enlarged with Topaz Gigapixel at Normal-4X the result was then treated with clone to remove the white edge. Gigapixel smoothed jagged pixelation** as show in the segment. The full photo end result is also shown.
Amazing~!, the starting photo was 207 KB... 1/5 of 1 MB. Final image is 3 MB.

The virtue of the Panasonic is that I added a to accommodate 37mm screw on filters. The IR 550-950 nm filters are, because of size, low cost, additionally easy to carry.
