Cute Purple Finch

These cute Purple Finches showed up at the local nature center yesterday. There were 2 males and a female (I have never seen a male before).
I enjoyed watching them dart in and about the feeders and other birds. I think the male is quite attractive.

Great images. We just get house finches around my yard. I've heard the Purple Finch described as having his head dipped in a glass of raspberry juice.
