Do any of you shoot with this lens? I am considering purchasing this as a complement to my Canon 85mm/f1.8.

I shoot a Canon T2si

thanks for any input

I have the 2.8-4.0 OS version of this lens and it's always on one body. Used to use on D40, now D200. Some will say the older version (2.8-4.5) was sharper but I dunno. Some will say they wish for 2.8 constant but I'm often stopping down a bit anyway so the 4.0 at 70mm is just fine. I have a few Nikon primes but can't beat bang for the buck with my Sigma 10-20 & 70-200 too! For a walk around I think it's hard to beat the 17-70. Macro versatility w/8.7"min focus. No cons on my list for this one.

The 24-70 is an EX lens, Sigma's top of the line and full-frame coverage. Trying for a spot in the pro market.

The 17-70 is not EX build quality and it's crop sensor only.
Great focal length range considering the aperture.

I have the non-OS 17-70mm/f2.8-4.5 and have had it for a number of years. It has been a fantastic travel lens and it is very sharp. The macro shots come out terrific and is a real plus with such a relatively compact lens. I really like this lens!

I bought then for my Nikon D200, then on my D300 a couple years later. An now I use it on my D800. Although it's a DX lens, it worked just as well on all of these bodies.
