The images have a trait in common. I suppose it is intentional, perhaps you consider it your style. Here is my opinion, certainly not one to go unchallenged...
They are limited range gray scale without enough black black areas, a lot of white/near white, light gray. For me this results in a blandness, no dramatic shading, emotion or eroticism. These image moments are PG-13 when they could be more. These women could be timeless instead a a moment that takes our time.

You very very fortunate to have such pretty models, the poses aren't bad, perhaps reworking the original negatives could change them from snapshots to more.

Artz:

I carefullu go through each of these photos and adjust the greyscale on each using a histogram routine to adjust things so that the darkest are black and the lightest are white and then I can adjust the greyscale. On every image. This is takes considerable time.

The subjects are another matter. I have previously explained the situation regarding how I was so fortunate in working with these ( mostly college ) lasses.

I appreciate your remarks.

Jim, I have told you several times I very much appreciate the time and the effort that you have spent to present these images to us. I just don’t like to repeat it over and over because I could but I’m in others opinion that your work is very appreciated and respected. You have spent a lot of time preparing these and we really appreciate.
You captured a moment in time and of course these were live as is and you captured the moment which to me is real photography unless it is a preplanned staged event.
Please do not be discouraged.
Most sincerely, Bruce.

Got to agree with Artz, on this one. You must have posted a couple of hundred largely similar, if not repeated, images so perhaps that's why your hoped-for positive comments are not flooding in. A large portion are out of focus, flat or not well lit (unflattering shadows etc) or with superfluous distractions that could be easily eliminated. You had a meltdown last time I passed comment so, in anticipation of a similar response, remember that opinions and viewpoints (unless offensive) can be quite beneficial. Especially if requested, as you have done here. Perhaps try some varied techniques on the stock that you have to avoid repetition. The sky is the limit with software these days and you seem to have no shortage of images.

Count me among those who appreciate your efforts and like your photographs. In this series I particularly like #3, although as some have remarked, there are some blown out areas in the sky and along the line of the crevice. However, I like the lines and textures, and the model's pose is (as always) fetching but not lewd. The women in your photos always appear confident and natural, not artificial, nor attempting purposeful eroticism. This is a fine line to walk when attempting nude photography, and I think you've achieved this well in all of your series!

Jim, ALL this time and you still don't get it !!!? What kind of constructive comments can anyone give to perfection? Well, maybe not absolute perfection, but perfection all the same. Your images are above reproach. You have photographed subjects that very few of us, are ever privileged to ever get near. The reason there are no constructive comments is because it is way past that point. What you have accomplished is great. The poses these young beauties take are perfect, and your handling of the subject shows one thing: YOU KNEW WHAT YOU WERE DOING AT THE TIME, so, there is no need for criticism, simply because no-one can find anything to criticize !!!!!!!!

I can and do compare your work to a world renowned photographer by the name of Jaques Sturges! Comparing his and your work, you could have been twins!

I think your shots are fantastic. More natural than most in this section. Looks like a lot of good to great looking girls working with a good photographer and having a good time in a great setting.

I, for one, am enjoying your shots here. I cannot be too picky about the grayscales, etc., because of what you are working with.

Lookie here Jim, I am not BULLS****g you here Ok.
It is easy for someone to nit pick another posting which seem to have some value BUT ! they were not there when you did yours.
You did yours with Tri-X film, natural environmental settings, natural light, at least it appears this way to me and reading your descriptions.
Non pro models, just girls having fun, naturally and YOU WERE THERE.
I do not comment on all your posting because you already know my take on them and I do not want to clutter up the thread since others have expressed what I would say anyway.
ANY member should know it takes A LOT of time and work to go through and prepare your posting and daily too!
So if I could find something you could do to am image I would say so but I like photographs that are real and captured the moment.
So, take this as a constructive comment and please do not stop unless you just need a break.

Sincerely;
The keep'n it real Bruce tha loose.

Jim, I think your stuff is fantastic. You have the three most important ingredients. The backgrounds are excellent, beautiful models and excellent poses. We couldn't ask for anything else except maybe color but I understand why they are B&W given the time period. We all shot that in those days. Keep posting!

I very rarely comment - but your pictures are very good. When I see that you have posted , I always look and think what a special place that you live in , where you can take such great pictures and have willing models who want you to take their picture. You have a great studio right outside of your home.
