I have totally ruined my relationship with Photoshop (Which I probably should never ever have tried to work with). I am unable to function in a presentable manner. What I need is some competent computer skilled person who can lay hands on my famitchked history of photography and help me make sense of my library/files/printing and on and on! I am willing to pay for this service. I live in the Kansas City area. Am retired and have plenty of time to work with somone from out of state or in state.
I don't think many folks will believe or understand the complications I have gotten myself into. Only answer if you have tons of patience and fortitude.

What version of Photoshop are you using? Are you on the subscription? Have you tried Adobe support by phone or test?
Thanks for responding. I am on the latest version and I am a subscriber. The way it is going now I think I need an absolute miracle to help me out of the mess i am responsible for. Does Adobe have an intensive care unit where I might hook onto life support and find my way out of an extraordinary mess!

Adobe has very good support, and can take over your computer and see what's wrong. 1 (800) 833-6687
Thanks, I will give it a try!

You may also "Chat" with them via Creative Cloud. .A remote session may be all you need to untangle the mess. Good luck!

I just prefer to talk to someone rather than chat with them as that seems to take longer. They do the remote session on the phone also.

I suspect they do, but I'm not sure. I prefer Chats.

You have a lot of conflated issues...Before you jump into this, please try to separate the issues.
PS is one thing. It is a graphics program that requires quite a lot of tech knowledge and learnin' Unless you are an advanced user, I would say stay away from it for now.
A poor file structure is quite another. Do you know how to make folders and understand how they are used?
Do you have Lightroom as part of the subscription model?? if so, this would be, in my opinion, where I would spend effort to learn photo processing and org structure.
When you say you have a mess, does that mean no file structure or multiples of the same photo?
An excellent source of information is a local camera/photo club. Often there are members who are willing to do some tutoring.
As others mentioned, there may be some tutoring avail for a fee. I would however, suggest maybe a local person to help.
If it is a need for very basic computer instruction, then look at the local community college or adult education center for help. I started on my Lightroom journey at one and it was very helpful. I later made friends wiht the instructor and we are in the same camera club (she is a master at photoshop!).
So give us a bit more refined info and maybe we can help.
Agree with others.
If you are on the monthly payment program, contact their support. They will be the best to get you out of PS related issues. As someone mentioned, they can dial into your computer and see first hand what kind of mess you got yourself into.
Good luck!
Interesting line of logic here when the suggestion is to call Adobe when you are on a $10 per month plan. Skilled labor for everything from home to car repair is over $100 and hour.
How much Adobe handholding should we expect? Would it be more effective to buy a well structured class aimed at beginners?

Have you ever used Adobe support? I would guess no the way you are disparaging them. I certainly wouldn't recommend spending money on support or classes before trying them. Their support is part of what you are paying them for the subscription.

GOYAKOD An acronym we used often at work...meaning Get Off Your Ass and Knock on Doors...more meaning... one never knows what you will get until you try. People often talk. Who knows? Call some person at Adobe and see what happens! Nothing to lose.
