Absolutely. I don't have a smart phone for ease of checking position of sun at certain times of year and day. I have often looked at what time of day I shot a photo in planning for next time.

My first dslr had an automatic feature to update the clock for DST, then the government changed the dates we do it

I forgot!! but the clocks seem to be okay < My cameras don't really care about the time!!

Actually if the metadata attached to your photo is important to you the correct time on the camera is important. Otherwise, not so much. I like having the time stamp on my images, particularly on my landscape photos such as sunsets. On the lighter side, it is a wonderful reminder of where I was at a particular point in time.

Plus or minus an hour doesn't matter to me.
