I envy your having all those birds in your yard. We used to have birds come, but since they developed the area below us and cut down all the trees, the birds stay away.

I hear you. Had a dead oak removed this Summer and now I have fewer woodpeckers in the yard.

We still have a downy woodpecker that comes around from time to time and we can hear him yacking once in awhile. I’d love to photography him but he moves around too much and is too fast, unfortunately. Not a good subject for posing.
