"Give Peace a Chance" - not likely! It seems that humanity is programmed to engage in warfare.
Stone Age people were fighting small-scale wars in Europe more than 5000 years ago, earlier than we once thought. We now know the conflicts took place long before powerful states formed in the region. The evidence comes from a re-analysis of hundreds of human remains found at a burial site in northern Spain. The bones are predominantly male and many have evidence of injuries from stabbing and blunt-force trauma, suggesting they belonged to a warrior class. “It’s too large to be [a] conflict within a community,” says Rick Schulting at the University of Oxford. The sheer scale of the conflict points to early warfare, rather than just interpersonal clashes or skirmishes, he says.
Whoops! I just realized that some of you may want to send this to The Attic. Try to resist that urge.

I see no reason at all why they should go to the attic but then again?

Sadly, a concept many cannot understand nor accept...
Maybe too many Neanderthal genes.
Saw the rounds of this a long time ago; paraphrasing
Tribes used to fight with clubs and stones.
First world war was fought with guns, tanks and gas.
2nd WW was fought with tanks, planes, bombs.
Third WW will be fought with all the above, possibly nukes.
Fourth WW will be fought with sticks, stones, and clubs. Again.
Wouldn't it help if Everyone was an artist, all modes included. Then all that would be to get upset about was someone else's critical opinion of what was created.
Wars were basically unknown when we were in our h****r gatherer phase.
The development of agriculture...brought war...and plenty of it.

let's just face it there a people still on our earth that rape women and cut off baby's heads and bomb children's hospitals and homes.
Until the civilized population get's rid of them there will never be any peace.

I liked P. J. O'Rourke's book: Give war a chance.

They say in Biology that "Ontogeny recapitualtes Phylogeny" which basically means that the developing fetus goes through all the stages of evolution in its development to term. It goes from a single cell entity to two cells, then to a mass of cells, then to organ specialization, to fish then to something with a tail etc.
I believe something similar happens to individuals in life. When I was young I fought all the time. Winning the fight was all that was simportant. I wanted to impress the girls. As I grew older, I became more and more peace loving.
I still feel some rage toward folks in the attic sometimes. But I am improving or evolving all the time. So I hope.

Religion, land, resources, etc. Always something seemly worth fighting over.

Religion is not worth fighting for, and that accounts for a ton of misery...such a waste.
