So you want a clean war that is always proportional. Where only the ones who deserve to die actually die but only up to the number of people who were k**led on the other side. A war that has no civilian deaths (well up to the number that were k**led on the other side). Where only military targets are destroyed (assuming the same military targets on their side had previously been destroyed) and civilian property is untouched.

Are you the one that gets to choose which Muslim babies, children and women are to be offered up in the name proportionality?

War is hell on earth. You can't sugar coat it and you can't make it look good. There is no "morality" in war. It is k**l or be k**led. You don't get to be an arm-chair general on this one.

First those numbers come from Hamas so they are suspect just like their claims that Israel struck their hospital.

Second what would you suggest Israel do? It is well reported that Hamas has 100s of miles of tunnels under civilian areas and places munitions and rockets in places such as schools and hospitals. That's on Hamas not Israel.

It won't make you popular in the attic, but you are right, and somehow I don't think you are real worried about being popular in the attic. If I remember right he calls himself a Christian. When I was a Christian I don't remember being taught anything like that.

The civilian casualties are caused by choices Hamas has and is making.

That was 80 years ago. Hopefully we've become a bit more civilized than that. In fact I'm quite sure that many of us have. Besides what Israel is doing doesn't have a chance of accomplishing what they claim their goal is. I can't help but believe they could better accomplish their stated goals through covert operations. Whether or not your enemies are savages, I don't believe you have to become savages yourself. At that point what makes you any different than your enemies. Israel is, or everyone claim it is, much more sophisticated and has much more sophisticated weapons. If Israel was on their game Hamas would be little if any real threat to Israel. Israel either wasn't on the ball (hard to believe) or they wanted this conflict (also hard to believe). Netanyahu has stayed in power this long by "protecting Israel from the evil Palestinians". This war for him is like 911 was for Giuliani. As soon as he isn't prime minister he will be facing corruption charges. Israel certainly wasn't the bad guy at the beginning, but they are working their way to there now.

They gave more than a week notice for civilians to evacuate. They did not. That's not on Israel.

It's so easy for someone who is not being attacked to claim those who are defending themselves are somehow in the wrong.

You know Hamas is embedded in the middle of civilians. So how do you get Hamas without having collateral damage? You can't. But covert ops to clear out 500 miles of tunnels, even for you that is nonsensical.

They should defend themselves. They should not commit genocide. What they are doing now is causing Palestinians to h**e them, and causing those who already h**ed them to become more militant than they already were and much of the rest of the world to see them as a pariah. If Israel no longer has human spies, and no longer has units like Rangers, and Seals, shame on them. Forget morality if you will. Pragmatically this is counter productive. Israel told them to go south, and k**led those who went there. I don't claim to be an expert on warfare but I wouldn't imagine that most of the civilians are in the tunnels, or that surface warfare is going to affect those in the tunnels to a great extent. If I'm wrong then I am, but it hasn't been explained to me.
