DJI Mini 4

I literally worn out my first drone ( flying into things, landing in rivers and hard landings). I am blind in one eye and depth perception is a very real issue when flying a drone. My new drone has obstacle avoidance both forwards and backwards. So far it’s flown perfectly. I lost sight of it on top of a mountain once, but the return home function worked as advertised. The camera is fantastic.

I have three DJI cameras. Two fly. My view is that DJI is leading the imaging world in innovation. Did you know that they own Hasselblad? What DJI invents and brings to market is impressive. Canon, Nikon and Sony might need to watch!

While I don't consider my DJI Mavic 3 Classic to be like my D850 I do consider it to be a fine addition to my imaging hardware. And it's so fun to fly.

I am saving up to purchase a DJI Air 3 with Fly More Combo with RC2. Getting ready to sell some of my photo equipment I don't use much any more. I can't wait. In the mean time I am going to buy a cheapie drone to practice flying one.Post more when you can. Thanks BE SAFE!!

Same here. I have too much redundancy in my camera equipment. I don’t use half of it. But I don’t have a drone. I haven’t decide which drone yet. I have just started researching.

There is a YouTube channel “51Drones” that provides extensive information and reviews on drones as well as explaining the FAA restrictions.

The DJI drone system is so easy to learn that you might consider the cheapie a waste that gets in the way of your goal.

The first thing you might find is that DJI has 75% of the market. Until that changes, you only need to set a budget and then pick the model in the DJI line that matches.

When you do, include three things. 1. Get the controller with the built in screen. If you don't you will grow to hate the fiddly procedure to plugging in your phone. 2. Get the "Fly More Combo" because you'll need more than one battery. 3. Buy the "DJI Care Refresh" option. It is crash insurance that replaces your drone cheaply when you screw up. It lets you learn without fear!
