Nikon d3100 battery

Battery is in charger and indicates "fully charged". Is there any issue with leaving a charged battery in charger and having the charger plugged in all the time. I have a spare battery, so one is always in camera and one is always in charger. Thanks

No, not that I am aware of. The Nikon chargers throttle back once they are charged. Recently sold my D3100 after 2 years. Had 2 Batteries and always had one ready to go. Wouldn't the spare be better in the camera bag????? Or with you with an extra memory card.

It doesn't do much good if you are out shooting and the spare is at home in the charger. JMHO.

I always read the little sheet that comes with rechargeable products. I can recall only one that said to remove the unit from the charger when the battery was charged. Many chargers are "smart," in that they can sense how much charge a battery needs and adjust the charge rate, so that it's finally almost nothing.
