Ok this took me quite a while to find the correct panel to open to remove the "Mask Badge"
Remember this fix will only work on the Beta version at this time not on the PS 25.1.0 You will need to do this on the next std Photoshop update.

From what I've read no one can find a reason for it. I don't think it should be turned on automatically with a new update.

I wonder if that's something that got in by accident, that should have been only in the beta for some upcoming new feature. Since it can only be removed in the beta, it sounds like a mistake.
I remember when Generative was introduced people were complaining that they had to click on "generate," they couldn't just hit "enter" to start the process. One day, out of just pure muscle memory, I hit enter and it just worked.
"Great," I thought.
And then it was gone.
But once it was released in the standard version, the enter option was back in both and is still there. I know this isn't the same thing, but I wonder if maybe it wasn't supposed to be in both...

I read somewhere "Adobie" said that the next update Mask Badge will be there and include the option to turn it off.
