Larry, it's great to have you posting again! These seem to be a progression from summer to winter, to illustrate your title. The colors of #1 feel like summer's warmth and energy, and I see the thistle's blossom. The last feels like the onset of a dark, challenging winter.

Unlike the ladies, I like #1 best - I was always easily swayed by a bit of colour! I’d crop the sides out and make it portrait format, so there’s no distractions from the lovely super-sonic butterfly.
