This was a fast little guy or gal. I didn't really have time to put it in the fridge or try any other tricks and every time I clicked the shutter it disappeared. The last time it took off I grabbed it and then couldn't find it. There it was sitting perfectly still and content on my finger.

Odd as it may sound, I had on a window sill a spider named Johnathan who never feared me until a new baby in our home and a fussy wife said out he goes. That time when I approached him to capture and transport his to the door... he panicked and ran.

You were lucky to get this shot. The fact that your finger is in the photo makes it unusual.

Thanks for the view and comment. It took a few years but I finally convinced my wife to call me when she finds a spider in the house. Before that she would just squish them. Now at least they have a chance when I take them outside.

Thank you for the views Curmudgeon, napabob and Sippy. And thank you for the ID also. I thought it was crab spider but didn't take the time to confirm. You guys are making me lazy with spider and insect ID.
