Well, the anticipation of the fish can bring up the tension a bit, I've found whether I have that big lunker hooked or just watching the fly floating, more relaxing than my job.
And when the fish quit bitting….
Drop anchor, secure you pole, and lay down, out of the glaring sun, and snooze.
(Be sure to be off the lake before sundown.)
