Although we did not see any birds in our drive through the moss covered trees, the bird watchers we encountered after clearing the trees assured us that there were plentiful birds in the area. As I heard this, a large, beautiful GBH flew by. If we did not have to check in to our place on Hilton Head Island, I would have been tempted to stay longer.

As we left the trees, we encountered some birds enjoying the beautiful day.

Outstanding, Mike, and I never saw a duck that didn't look happy

Thanks, Barbara, I had to include a bird post to go along with the landscape post.

Thanks, I was using my Sony A9 with the Sony 100 - 400 GM lens and a 1.4 tc. With a pistol grip it is a very easy long lens set up to hand hold.

Really nice photos, Mike, especially when one considers that, as you explained in your narrative, you took them on the fly. Get it??
