I have been delayed in posting this because I was chasing and eclipse, unsuccessfully in Corpus Christi, TX. Clouds got in the way at just the wrong time. Other hoggers from the same area were more successful.
Longwood Gardens is currently reimagining their Water Lily Pond so this is from a previous visit. The main pond is circular but is surrounded by smaller rectangular ponds on all sides. What's interesting is that several of the ponds have the Santa Cruz Water Platters which have pads 4-5 ft in diameter which can support frogs and other small critters with ease. While not technically water lilies, they also have lotuses which are my favorites in several of the ponds.
Main circular pond with the flower of my life looking on. Note the size of the Vera Cruz Water Platters.

All wonderfully beautiful.
Thanks for looking in and your kind comment, Barbara. The lily pond was a target-rich environment for photographers and I took advantage of it.

Reuss, in that tranquil pond, the flowers you're showing here display their delicate petals like nature's own watercolor paintings. Their blossoms, pristine and pure, glow with a radiant grace, and their vivid hues are mirrored in the still, glassy surface of the water. Each lily looks like a testament to nature's artistry, a masterpiece of elegance and serenity, capturing the essence of beauty in the gardens. And you surely caught it all.

Mel, I believe you're taking a page out of my playbook. When I really like something, I try to offer a substantive comment on why I like it. Your comments mean a lot to me because of the thought behind them and you took the time to express it in terms you knew I would like. A heart-felt thanks.
