This brought back memories...
My dad was in the airforce in WWII, and when he was in India he picked up the "Three Monkeys". They were tiny, and carved in ivory on a small hardwood base. I remember talking to him about these when I was a child (60 or 70 years back). He told me that they had missed a monkey... that there should be 4. The fourth monkey should be, "Do no evil."
