That it is... I thought that McCarthy was an effective speaker and did what he could to fend off the progressive agenda. I was disappointed by his earlier agreement with Biden and the democrats to extend funding a few months back in the deal he made but over all I and many other republicans I would imagine were fine with his leadership. Now Gaetz and the others have blown up the House and don't seem to be able to put Humpty Dumpty back together again at a very crucial moment of time.

Never could have happened on Pelosi's watch. With similar close numbers, no one even farted without the nod.

Well we don't elect our representatives to do as told by a speaker like Pelosi, nor do we elect representatives to go do DC and create anarchy.

She legislated. And since when does your side ever respect weak leadership? Especially in these 'orange times' when fetishized "Strong Leader Man!" is the go-to-demagogue model. Viktor Orbán's alt-democracy opperation is the favored working model for the wannabees.

I don't know enough about Orbán to like or dislike him but much of the criticism that I have heard coming from the left seems as if many of their concerns about Orbán have little to do with the welfare of the Hungarian people and more to do with his rejection of the so called "New World Order".

One of the keys to understanding Pelosi is that she did not let the fringe left her party lead her around by the nose. A lesson that My Kevin missed entirely. But that's what happens when position is more important than principle.

We're finding out that it's not the Crazy 8 at this point. The whole party is dysfunctional, many Republican Representatives straying from core principals in search of appropriations. It's all about the money and Jordan was a threat to that.
