Camera Raw update in Photoshop

Yesterday I updated Camera Raw. Now it says my graphics processor will not work. I am unable to process any camera raw files.
A few days ago my car's motor with 330,000 miles on it threw a rod.
What else is going to happen to me?

Might not be so bad.
Every now and then Camera Raw gives me an error that says something like "ACR uses the graphics processor" and that something is wrong and it's not working. I just close ACR and the file, reopen it and that usually fixes it.
When I was 17 and making about $0.11 an hour I had a '52 Buick and threw the rod on the #1 piston on the straight 8. My mechanical genius friend said "No problem, we'll just take the rod out." We pulled the spent rod out, left the plug in. Vibrated like mad until about 35 mph then smoothed out beautifully. I drove it another 3 months or so before it finally just blew apart.
Hey, you could ty it...I wouldn't bother with the lottery though.

If you're a subscriber, maybe you'll look back on this day fondly as the day you installed and started using Lightroom Classic and became a butterfly?

Doesn't Camera Raw update with Photoshop updates? How would you update Camera Raw independently from Photoshop?
Is your graphics driver up to date? There might be some other ideas here: https://helpx.adobe.com/camera-raw/kb/acr-gpu-faq.html#gpu-model

Not always, there are sometimes updates to Camera Raw independent of Photoshop. The recent upgrade of Lightroom also upgraded Camera Raw, because Lightroom is Camera Raw. Camera Raw installs with other Adobe apps like After Effects, also.

Camera Raw updates much more frequently than PhotoShop.

When I threw my rod it really hurt. OUCH!!!

I don't know, but I'd be leery about going to the bathroom.

It could have been worse, you might have broken a valve spring. That would have resulted in the valve dropping into the cylinder with resultant damage to pistons, heads and valve. It might not feel like it but you're actually a lucky man.
