I'm trying to become more intentional about my photography. This am I picked a spot and set up hoping to catch some woodland birds. Warbler in particular but I expected to be happy with whatever I might see that does not frequent the yard.
It took a little while but after about an hour a few stopped by.
Two Carolina Wrens decided to visit the pile of dead branches near where I was sitting and gave me plenty of nice poses. This is the first processed.
Photographing in the limited light of the woods is going to feed the "need a flash" urge.
This was shot at ISO 2500, 1/400, F6.3, 500MM maybe 15' distance.
Beautiful, especially in download!

Thanks very much Cheif. I was a little disappointed that the colors were so dramatic in the display image. However the download displayed correctly.

Nicely done, Bill.
Thanks Ken.
I tried a fall folage over a pond today while walking back from the wren. I had a tad to much lens

Thanks very much Barbara.
Great capture. Speaking of flash. I've notice if Iset-up the tripod 7 use flash on some flowers or such, birds come over to see what the heck I'm doing. Might help with your birding.

Thanks,
Birds are curious so that's a great idea. I placed an order last night from KEH for a 580EX11 and an external battery pk
