With our last annular solar eclipse there was quite a bit of activity but dispersed among many sections.
Next April we in South are to see ( weather and longevity permittng) a total eclipse.
Would Hoggers consider a single section to post and discuss this?

Seems like the Astrophotography section would be appropriate.
An "Eclipse" section would be "active" how many times a year?
Many of the new forums have very little traffic, even though they deal with photography which is year-round. Recently new forums for Infrared Photography and AI imagery were established, and now they have very little activity. A forum concerning something that doesn't happen often would get even less use.

How often do you clean your sensor?
SO far have not dared. Do you see spots?

I started to clean my own sensor about 2008. Was easy. Have done it whenever needed since.

It looks like a couple people made posts about the eclipse there. Maybe before the next one happens there should be a notice that they should be posted there, and how to find it for those who haven't noticed the All Sections button.
The problem is that the forums are often full of opinions rather than facts. Posts often devolve into nonsensical arguments. So, a pretty technical sub forum might be challenging. IMO look to Photopills for detailed factual info on Astro photography.
