It was cloudy but there were encouraging spaces now and again so living in a "gambling" state, it followed, one bets against the odds of failure. Olympus OMD E10MKII, 75-300mm, loaded with a "Seymour" solar filter. Set up on the deck. (For those who want to know) We saw roughly an 85% eclipse between the clouds passing. Frustrating but also rewarding. Thanks for viewing and commenting.

These are cool, I sort of like the clouds! I tried, did not know I was supposed to use a special solar filter….I just used a very dark ND and my photos are not orange.

They do make solar filters that give a more natural white light.

Yeah, a solar filter really does render the color. A genuine must if continuing the sun activities i.e. sunspots. Love your critter images by the way. I look at them when they are posted.

White light? Okay what ever you say. Check out SOHO sometime.

Thanks a lot. The clouds actually did help out considerably despite concerns to contrary.

More to what we visually see every day. The filters do tend to remove most of the white light, but some people like to see more white than color.

Excellent work Laura. I think the clouds add something to it, more than a "stark" image.

Agreed that the clouds were a nice addition although at the time, some cursing was done! Ha ha. Thanks so much, Dennis for looking and commenting.
