The latest escapades of the Republican Caucus will, I have no doubt, cause another reduction in the country’s credit rating. I think it’s comical that all their supporters have abandoned them to their own devices. I’m so glad I converted all my investments to cash over the summer.

Just a thought. There are 212 Democrats in the House and a v**e of 217 is needed to elect a Speaker of The House. What that means is that if the dems can come up with five Republicans to v**e with them, they would be able to put in a Dem as Speaker.
The only real question is are there 5 Republicans who have the balls to do it?

Please, Richard, tell us how the Republican'ts are, "working it out". The United States House of Representatives is totally dysfunctional due to the Republican'ts not even being able to decide who the Speaker should be.
