A photo of a European Red Kite taken earlier this year in Scotland. Absolutely a beautifully bird with a very large wingspan for its size, which can be close to 6' across. As primarily a glider, it feeds primarily on the wing and this large wingspan makes that quite efficient. This was taken in the early morning at about 100 yds distance, cropped heavily...Cheers!
