Annular Eclipse From Utah

Flying to Utah to photograph the annular eclipse this Saturday. Staying in Beaver, near the center of maximum time of eclipse. Is there a possibility of including some of that area's amazing terrain in the same photo of the eclipse? (Time will be 10:30am.) Open to all suggestions, including locations, lenses, settings, filters. Have D750, 28-80 and 70-300.
Thanks! I read these discussions daily, and learn much from your collective wisdom.

Have you tried looking at Google maps, finding possible locations and checking them at https://photoephemeris.com/?

Thanks, I just joined and saw the map where I'll be, and the path of the eclipse. On my way down from Salt Lake City, I'll scout specific locations.

What will you be driving? How much time will you have? That will dictate what you might be able to see. Some of that area is VERY rugged and would require a very capable 4WD vehicle, best done with a pair of 4WD's. Some areas, not so much. Both Zion and Bryce Canyon National Parks are within a reasonable driving distance. Capital Reef National Park is a little further, but worth the drive IMHO. The North Rim of the Grand Canyon across the state line into Arizona would be a bit of a drive, but definitely worth it for me. The Aspens are at peak color right now.
If you are just looking for interesting scenery you won't have to go very far from Beaver to see some red cliffs and interesting canyons.

Driving a rental Corolla. Rt. 877 South from Richfield is the area I'll be looking in. Just arriving afternoon of the 13th, so not much time to look around. "Red cliffs and interesting canyons" will be fine for me. Thanks for the tip. My son wanted to go, but couldn't get off work, so he's sending my wife and I. Just would like to bring back some shots to impress him.

It's hard NOT to impress folks with photos of Utah backcountry!

Any tips on including the eclipse AND the "Utah backcountry" in the same exposure? Angle of the sun at 10:30am, full annular eclipse. Figuring to need toward a red cliff or formation, so as to include a decent size solar-shot above the landscape. With an annular, there will be more brightness than with total, but not sure how much brighter. Any hoggers have exposure data/examples of annular eclipses which include the landscape?

Just found a long, detailed explanation on Photopills Youtube interview with Joshua Cripps ("Annular Eclipse with Camel on Dune" photo). Told me everything I need to know. Excellent video! Now, on to Utah!
