I believe a Chevy V8! Heck, The Jap bikes like Honda, Yamaha &, Kawasaki been putting out 4 cyl inlines since at least the 70's. Maybe 30's-40's, Indian Motorcycle Co. had a inline 4cyl. Now that is a collector's item that probably double - tripled it's value in the last decade.

A Vespa and a Harley are both 2 wheel vehicles but I think they are at opposite ends of the spectrum. I would love a Vespa but I wouldn't care for a Harley.

I should've magnified your avatar. Is that yours and is it a Chevy V-8? I've had a bike (actually only three) since I was 21 up until a couple of years ago. I figured at 72 I'd been lucky to never have fallen or dropped a bike and I didn't want to push my luck. This was my last bike...a 2007 800cc Suzuki. I couldn't find anyone my age to "play" with and I got tired of riding by myself. I've turned my attention to Miatas. Most fun I've ever had in a car (and I've had a lot). I always return home with a smile on my face. I bought this Vespa a couple of years ago just to putt around. It's fun for going to the grocery store. It'll be gone in the spring. Enough about me. What's your story Finn Man? What's your vehicular history?

Anyone have feedback on the CanAm style bikes, ie quality and reliability? They seem like they would be more stable than regular MC but I have heard they have problems...

Like Ava's Papa, I've had a few bikes in my lifetime. Can't say I never dropped one. I started out on the smaller ones and gradually moved up to a full sized H-D. I took a very enjoyable ride on my 76th birthday in April of this year and rode in a couple benefit dice runs during the summer. On August 17, I took a ride to get some "wind therapy" and it was my last ride. Totalled the bike, received a few bruises and abrasions along with a fractured patella (knee cap). That's when my wife and I decided my riding days were over.

It has been seven and a half weeks, I'm still wearing a knee brace (movement limitations) and not allowed to drive yet. The orthopod says maybe another three to four weeks and then maybe I can start physical therapy. You got to know when to give it up.

The British "Ariel " had a four cylinder engine. Square format.

All the motorcycle companies built at least a 6 cylinder. Honda did it in 78 with the cbx. Indian also build a 6 cylinder in 33 or 38. I can't remember

Mine is an LS3 Corvette: engine Puts out 505 H.P. Rode it for 5 years as a two wheeler. I got it made into a trike. I encourage everybody to go to Boss Hoss.com and look at the Bikes. I really like my ride now. Plenty of power. I am still learning how to navigate this UHH thing...K.A.N.
