This morning is the first day of the $250,000,000.00 fraud trial in New York City.
Trump would like to let his supporters know that he needs them to send money.
In the end, I truly hope that this trial leaves Trump penniless and that his kids have to leave their condos because Daddy no longer owns the building.
This is going to be a fun time in NYC, watching the Blubber Master sweat off a few pounds.
Let justice prevail!

Wish this trial were televised.

He has always been a fraud, is still a fraud, and will always be a fraud.

He claims that he will show up in court to fight for is name and reputation but, without a doubt, he will use this as a platform to cry about how the last e******n was s****n from him.

This will not be over anytime soon as if Trump loses you know it will be appealed. I can tell you that if the judge estimated the value of Mar-a-Lago at 18 to 28 million he is off his f-ing rocker. Seems to me that banks and insurance companies do their own appraisals on properties used as collateral or insured, so it is hard to see how he defrauded them, as far as tax assessments, does NYC not have a Tax Accesors office that does appraisals for tax purposes? I know that where I live I don't get to set the value of my home for tax purposes.

I don't believe that any of the loans related to this case have gone into default and many may have been paid off so it is hard to find a victim in this case... But twist the law dems and weaponized it, your time will come.

Yeah, just another "nothing burger"....

Chump might think Mar-a-Lago is worth $1.8 billion, but in 2020, his own company said the Palm Beach appraiser was right. That year, the county valued Mar-a-Lago at $27 million.

You're getting fat on those "nothing burgers" and your cholesterol is sky high.

Day one of Chump's fraud trial:

The trial will be decided by the judge. Begs for WHY Chump's lawyers didn't request a jury trial. While they screwed the pooch, Chump continues to badmouth the judge at every turn. Smart guy.

Of course, the MAGA crowd are incensed. But, you gotta give it to Chump after all, he's told us many times that he is a genius... right? He proved it by taking that "intelligence test"... You know.... The one where the patient is asked to draw a clock and put numbers on it... that proves it right there... he's a genius!

The judge has already decided that the Trump organization (hence TrumP)is a fraud, This trial will now only decide what penalties they will have to pay,

I think that in a couple of days (after campaigning opportunities are exhausted) trump will see if he can modify the ruling to spare his kids and Weiselman from testifying. He may try appeals, but he's failed so far.

Add trump's image to these.

I guess that I have tired of the constant lynching party demeanor atmosphere that both parties exercise. The bigger problem at least seems to be that many allegations have some credence.

Will this trend never end...

I think once H****r and Trump get sentenced that things will settle down. But after the outrageous reaction of the fire alarm episode, you just may be correct that lynching (for real in Mille's case) is the new political norm.

I'm even more out of the loop than normal as far as current events are concerned. Since Sept 19 I have watched tv and listened to the radio a total of about 3 minutes. I have had about 10 minutes of internet news and zero newspapers and extremely limited cell service. Shamefully, my limited outside contact has been via the Hogg for a little amusement.

Ain't life grand!

A catchy phrase used by the right with respect to Trump's many legal problems is that the Democrats have "weaponized" the law: when a Republican, especially Trump, is prosecuted its because the Democrats have "weaponized" the law. But prosecuting a person who appears to have violated the law is not weaponizing the law. Nothing in the law says Republican politicians can't or shouldn't be prosecuted. In fact, just the opposite is true. NOT prosecuting a person because they are a political opponent would be weaponizing the law because it would provide the political opponent from an immunity from prosecution that is not enjoyed by the general public.

Nothing in the law that Trump has been found to have violated provides that a "victim" is necessary for prosecution. In fact, think how difficult it would be to apply the law if it were constantly necessary to determine whether there is a victim. If you overinflate the value of your assets in order to get loans, the result is that you enrich yourself, perhaps by getting loans you were otherwise not entitled to, or by getting loans at a reduced rate that you otherwise wouldn't have received. You are c***ting the system, not playing by the same rules as everyone else. And by you getting the loan, someone else who was entitled to a loan may not get one. Next time you get a speeding ticket or are arrested for drunk driving tell the police that they shouldn't give you a ticket because there is no victim: "Officer, noone was hurt!" Let me know how that works out for you.

Your trip sounds wonderful.

Our quick trip to Athens was a whirlwind, but was fabulous. Being "off the USA" grid was good. We could learn to adopt some Greek culture traits to be happier! We're eating a mediterranean diet now.
