RIP MICHAEL MULLUMBY

Bunko.T Loc: Western Australia.

A few years back, I saw a member by the name of Mullumby, Mike. He posted of my state of Western Australia, & his love of the wide open places, in photography.
I subsequently discovered, he lived in my home town of Geraldton.
I eventually met him personally. Since I had relocated to Perth city, we met only on visits.
I later had advice from his daughter, he had health problems. This brought him to Perth in hospital, where I could visit him more often. In the meantime, he deteriorated as did I with hip & lumber problems. Sadly, he recently passed away, I’m just a bit luckier in that I’m still here, albeit slower but in pain.
Family history & Photography are still my main interests, to keep the mind active.
I’m not sure if this is of interest to all & sundry, but Mike was a keen Hedgehogger so thought I’d mention his demise.

As was spoken on the movie, the last samurai:
Emperor: Tell me how he died.
Warrior: ...I'll tell you how he lived.

I've lost friends and although it was sad at first, somewhere down the line we forget they are gone but remember them by the happy and funny times.

May we know his member name so we can look at his post to remember him by?

Sounds a nice guy. I have quite a few interests in common especially the fishing... and photography of course.
May he RIP.

While unknown to me I am saddened by your friend’s passing. Please allow me to share this poem with you.

Death is nothing at all.
I have only slipped away to the next room.
I am I and you are you.
Whatever we were to each other,
That, we still are.

Call me by my old familiar name.
Speak to me in the easy way which you always used.
Put no difference into your tone.
Wear no forced air of solemnity or sorrow.

Laugh as we always laughed
at the little jokes we enjoyed together.
Play, smile, think of me. Pray for me.
Let my name be ever the household word
that it always was.
Let it be spoken without effect.
Without the trace of a shadow on it.

Life means all that it ever meant.
It is the same that it ever was.
There is absolute unbroken continuity.
Why should I be out of mind
because I am out of sight?

I am but waiting for you.
For an interval.
Somewhere. Very near.
Just around the corner.

All is well.

Nothing is past; nothing is lost. One brief moment and all will be as it was before only better, infinitely happier and forever we will all be one together with
G-D.
