We just spent 3 days in San Francisco. In spite of everything negative written about the homeless situation and crime, much of the city is still worth seeing. The highlight of the trip was a sunset cruise under the Golden Gate Bridge on a catamaran sailboat. There is one picture of The Potomac, FDR's yacht. There is a picture of the national cemetary in The Presidio, formerly a major army base, now a park. The first picture is of the Palace of Fine Arts. The pictures were taken with a little Canon G7X II. Enjoy.

Nice set. Reminds me of the days when I lived in Salinas and we were frequent visitors to San Francisco.
Thanks. It's still a great city to visit, and these pictures only scratch the surface.
Enjoyed these, especially the ones into the sun.

Good set. I've lived within 60 miles of San Francisco (currently 30) my entire life and it's a beautiful city. However we don't go there now unless we have to. It appears that the city leaders are starting to understand what is going on and are making a start at cleaning things up. My travel camera is a Canon G5X Mk II, which is essentially a G7X MK II with a pop-up viewfinder. I'm amazed at the photo quality it produces. I usually bring my Canon 90D with me om trips, but just bring the G5X when we're "out and about."

I've praised the G7X II on several occasions here on UHH, but the lack of viewfinder presented a challenge when taking pictures on the boat. Whether the sun was in front of me or behind me, I couldn't see anything on the rear screen when taking that boat ride. I "sprayed and prayed" when taking some of those pictures.
I also have a Nikon D850, but I knew that using it on that trip would be a challenge. For one thing, I was carrying a lot of stuff around from shopping without adding a huge camera to the mix. Another issue is that my wife has limited mobility, and helping her get around and managing a large camera would have been be a challenge. But I have no regrets. The little Canon takes excellent pictures.

We did a month-long road trip in Italy this year and I brought my Canon 90D DSLR and the little G5X. I took over 2/3 of my photos with the G5X. We spent just over a month in Europe last year, 3 weeks of it on cruise ships (2 weeks on Viking Ocean, a week on Viking river) and almost all of my photos when we were off of the ships were with the G5X. It is so much more convenient to carry than the DSLR.
