Unwanted junk mail

What’s happened to my IPhone 11, can’t seem to avoid junk mail anymore, I’ve gone to my folder and directed unwanted mail to my junk folder yet I still receive at least 30 a day???? This started about a year ago, though maybe one of apple’s upgrade would eventually fix the problem, but not yet.
Would appreciate any advice, thanks

Your email got on a list and they are utilizing it.
One of mine got on a list about 3 weeks ago....
I've been getting a lot of junk mail from the may places that use the list.
Always with links to the same 4 or 6 domains, but different directories within.
They all go to my spam folder, but I have to check the header of each email in the spam folder because sometimes my email provider flags emails that I have forwarded. If I flag the forwarded emails as spam, the forwarder gets gigged, not the originator.
THAT is a PITA!
Luckily it's less than a dozen a day for me.

My son pays a monthly few of around $2 -$3 so he doesn't get all kinds of emails and adds but I don't know what it is.

As Lucas said, there are companies that provide a SPAM filtering service. Some are free, some are better than others. I would start by contacting your internet provider and see if they provide any Spam filtering. There was a law passed that requires them to do some filtering. Since mine started, my junk email went way down.
