Wyoming is famous for its antelope population. While driving home I happened on a couple of antelope herds. One had just one buck that was a shooter and was accompanied by four does in his harem. The other had a decent buck but not as tall as the first with the does.

They're all terrific pictures, but that first shot is what all antelope photos should look like.

Thank you very much. Of course I tend to agree with you. I am estimating him, horn length at 15 1/2 to 16 inches, a great antelope buck in anyone's freezer. Hard to tell though from 300 yards away.

Thank you Joe. Next week I will be visiting friends on a ranch in NE Wyoming where I have shot a few that come pretty close to that nice one with the harem in the photos. That is, shooting as in eating. Have you ever thought of making stew from your three squirrels? Just a thought what with winter coming on.

That guy is far too beautiful to be in anyone's freezer.

Thank you very much. I appreciate your comment.

I would happily put this animal in my freezer and enjoy every bit of him being eaten. But I am OK with your feelings too.

Beautiful set Dennis. You almost never see a buck like that when you have a rifle

Thank you very much Jack. I never have in my hunting experience. A 15 1/2 inch buck is the best I ever did and it was rare to find one that big where I hunted. Normally a 14 inch buck was about the tallest seen.
