Lady Beetles and a Stinger

Over the past two days I have photographed more lady beetles than usual. I don't know if it is winter coming on or what. They are seemingly in these photos more than one and in the same area on a bush. Maybe it is lady beetle mating season though I would not think so.
Also included is a yellow jacket that was buzzing around my apples and then flew to a leaf.

Thank you very much kpmac for a positive comment. Occasionally I hate to submit just one photo of an insect or similar so tag one along onto a thread of other things. That is what happened in this case. I did have more photos of the yellow jacket but deleted them at the last moment because I did not like them.

Very nice. The beetles aggregate to a spot where they can hunker down and spend the winter. They can collect in very large numbers.
