Snowy (itchy) egret at close quarters - Huntington Beach State Park

Murrel's inlet, Myrtle Beach area.
Labor day weekend.

It is so much easier to capture the detailed skin texture of this all-white bird when it is 30 feet away than 100 yards - my typical shooting situation at Jordan Lake, NC.

Thank you Ken, for the feedback.

The photographs were taken in the morning, in sunlight a bit too much on the bright side (I did not get up early enough). But I intentionally underexposed the shots to avoid blown highlights on the egrets skin, then reduced highlights further in post which made the background even darker.
